A special three day filing period will commence on Tuesday, May 25th at 8 a.m. and end Thursday, May 27th at 4:30 p.m. in the Lewis County Auditor’s Office. Online filing will be accepted from 9 a.m. Tuesday until 4 p.m. Thursday at https://elections.lewiscountywa.gov . The three day filing period is for positions subject to the Primary Election on August 3, 2021 that received no declared candidates, in-person, online or by mail, during the 2021 filing period.
All declarations of candidacy will be accepted at the Auditor’s Office in the Historic Courthouse, 351 NW North St, Chehalis, for the below-listed voids in candidacy. Any candidates who file for any of the below offices during the special 3-day filing period will go straight to the General Election ballot, regardless of the number of candidates.
Any office with a void in candidacy remaining after the special three-day filing period will be deemed lapsed, the office stricken from the General Election ballot, no write-in votes will be counted, and the incumbent (if any) will remain in office until the next election for said office.
