Elected Experience: I immigrated to the United States from Scotland in 1983 with my two sons, and all my worldly possessions in six suitcases. I began working with the local elementary school as a way to integrate into the community, and I volunteered for additional curriculum activities. I combined work, school, family, and taking care of the home. I have traveled throughout Europe, Canada and the United States, and I lived in the Netherlands for one year.  I proudly became a US Citizen in 1992. I embrace diversity in all cultures and sub-cultures.

Other Professional Experience: Internship at Thurston County Public Defense, Legal Assistant, Office Administrator, Sales Manager, Business Owner, Published Author of Articles and Poetry

Education: Certified Legal Secretary, Paralegal Studies, Office Laboratory, CLE Courses, Customer Service and Sales

Community Service: Volunteer work through Breast Cancer Awareness, Protect Your Child, Inc. ESL Reading Program, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Board Member of Legal Professional Association

Statement: Be instrumental in being a voice for the people of Centralia, and listen to the people’s needs, concerns, and desired changes that they would like to have in effect, and help structure plausible changes with the help of presiding council members in such a constructive manner so as to make their goals achievable. Represent all Citizens of Centralia in accordance with the Constitution. Support the Police Department in crime fighting, address the freedom and safety of our children walking to, and from school, stricter traffic control within 1,000 ft of all school zones, review local amenities for families, drive business development, and employment issues. Build positive relationships within the public and private sectors in the community. Live each day with a conscious thought of making a difference, and back it up by taking an appropriate and mindful action. I know I have found my home among all Centralia’s benevolent people.
